Here are the images for week 1 of the Wader Identification Challenge . This is a 'silent' challenge.

We don't want you to spoil the challenge for other members by posting your identification of each of the birds. Instead write down your identifications and keep them until next week when Fred Smith and John Barkla will post their decisions and the diagnostic feature used to identify each bird.
